Posted by: Edi Yanto on: April 19, 2010

Make sure Oracle Forms already in version 10.1.2.3.0, see Note 559067.1 to install ODS 10.1.2.3 (Patch 5983622) on Windows Vista.

Steps for solve this issue are:

  1. Download patch 7047034 (Bugs Fixed for DB 10.1.0.5 Patch 26, Windows 32 Bit)
  2. Download OPatch Universal Installer (Release 10.1.0.0.0 for Windows)
  3. Extract the 2 patches above and close all Forms Builder if it’s running
  4. In Command Prompt, change directory to the extract OPatch path (Ex: “cd c:\TEMP\oracle\101\OPatch”)
  5. Set the Oracle Home value for the Oracle Home where Forms Builder is installed (“set ORACLE_HOME=D:\oracle\dev10g”)
  6. Apply patch 7047034 with OPatch (“opatch apply C:\TEMP\oracle\7047034″), the process also installed OCM (Oracle Configuration Manager), prompting me for my Metalink login and password. When the process completed, it reported the following message:  (Ignore this message based on Note: 727410.1)****** ATTENTION******** Please note that the Security Patch Installation (Patch Deinstallation) is **** not complete until all the Post Installation (Post Deinstallation)   **

** instructions noted in the Readme accompanying this patch, have been **

Oracle Home : f:\DevSuiteHome_2
Oracle Home Inventory : F:\DevSuiteHome_2\inventory
Central Inventory : C:\Program Files\oracle\inventory

OUI location : F:\DevSuiteHome_2\oui
OUI shared library : F:\DevSuiteHome_2\oui\lib\win32\oraInstaller.dll
Java location : “F:\DevSuiteHome_2\jre\1.4.2\bin\java.exe”
Log file location : f:\DevSuiteHome_2/.patch_storage//*.log

Creating log file “F:\devsuitehome_2\.patch_storage\7047034\Apply_7047034_09-22-
2010_11-13-17.log”

The Oracle Home f:\devsuitehome_2 is not registered with the Central Inventory.
OPatch was not able to get details of the home from the inventory.
Make sure that Windows ‘System32′ directory is in your PATH. For example, C:\WI
NNT\System32

ERROR: OPatch failed because of Inventory problem.
OPatch returns with error code = 100

I have the Patch in my environment variables,

Please I know that you can help me

Regards

Hi ,

The Oracle home may not be present in the Central Inventory. This may occur because of a corrupted or lost inventory, or the inventory may not be registered in the Central Inventory. For more information, see “Diagnosing and Recovering from Central Inventory Corruption“.

Thanks,
Edi
